Cold. Huss had grown to hate it over the many years of having to endure it constantly. Always casting his eyes over icicles and mist in place of what should have been leaves and grass. But not much grew anymore, nothing save for the tree's could muster the strength to break through the confines of the snow and reveal itself to the now harsh world of Narnia. Huss's duty was irrelevant now, without a true royal to serve his job was forfit and his existance fairly meaningless until the day one happened to come along and take the throne. That seemed rather unlikelty as of late, he beleived that the prohecy would come true at some point like most who resided in Narnia and wasnt under the White Witch's influence, but he also beleived that it would probably be a very long time until it was fullfilled. Although, the rumours of Aslan being on the move were certainly something, certainly worthy of note that the mighty lion could be returning to the strangely dead land of Narnia.
The cold stabbed at Huss as he ventured down from the mountains for the first time in a very long time indeed. He thought that his presence may be needed down here once more if the rumours were true. His kickpadded foot crushed the snow beneath it as he took yet another step through the snowy forest. "Ruddy winter." He mumbled to himself from his very high hieght. "Makes you wonder if she ever gets bored of it."

Maugrim had lots to do! He didn't have time for a break, or to go hunting! he had the time off all the other wolves wanted! He grunted when he saw wolves slacking on there jobs! "You would think that wolves that work for maugrim would be doing there JOBS!" He padded past them in anger. Why would they not be patrolling! It's not like it is a hard job! Maugrim had to monitor his crew not go for a nap! Why had the Queen suggest that to him, she was being to nice to him! He wanted to be punished for the silly things he did! He liked taking the blame for everything, that was what made the Queen like him! He found a nice warm spot and started to lye down! As he finally got his cold shivering head down he heard a big loud thomp coming far aways in the woods. This was his excuse! This was his way out of a stupid break!
Maugrim dashed through the trees as fast as a frightened cheetah. He would stalk this annoying git and get back to monitoring his wolves! He was getting closer! He could feel this mans aroma! It was discusting and disturbing, but that wasn't the problem right now! Maugrim felt the rumble of the ground as the monster moved! Maugrim got into a crouch so that the moster, or whatever it was could not see him! "Makes you wonder if she ever gets bored of it." What a fool this beast was, to question the queen and her ways! Maugrim quickly got up and walked into the clearing where the man stood "If you were a smart man you would understand that winter is when the queen is her strongest! And how dare you question the queen and her ways!" This guy discusted him! How could he not know that! He must be one of the new joiners to the queen! Maugrim spat at the man in discussed! He then walked around the man in circles!

Huss heard the voice, he didnt recognise it but he knew of it. He knew full well about the head of the secret police, the White Witch's puppet for her cruelty. The thing that made Huss sick about the whole situation was that she wasnt even real royalty, she really was simply pretending to be royalty, at the cost of every single Narnian in existance. This wolf relished the idea that he was the channeller for such needless cruelty.
The Witch wasnt even human, that was of course how it was supposed to be, ever since his family had been given the task so many centuries ago it had always had to be a Son of Adam or Daughter of Eve on the throne of Narnia. The place simply wasnt right, Narnian's or whatever the Witch was just werent made for the throne, people like the Witch didnt deserve it and Narnian's wouldnt know what to do with it.
"Bite your tongue wolf!" H said loudly as he peered down at the circling wolf on the far away ground. "My family was defending true royalty before your entire wretched family was even conceived." He put his foot out in front of the wolf, breaking the circle of his pacing. "Do not test me."

LUCRETIA.ofthe.LOATHSOME • • • • • • • • •
the day had been dull and cold, as usual, and her condition matched it. With most of her tasks done, and some set aside for another time to unleash her energy, Lucretia's only desires now were water, something to eat, and a long, refreshing nap, or as refreshing as it could get in these cold weathers. Dusky black paws and belly crusted with flaky snow, the lonely she-wolf padded across the barren snow-encrusted land of Narnia, where, as far as she was concerned, winter dwells all year round. Her paws were numb with the several runs and trudging around in the bitter snow she had done that day, and her eyes were betraying signs of drowsiness. To top it off, Lucretia was in a bad temper. She typically tolerated the cold, unmerciful weathers, mainly because to please her master, Jadis—although if the "White Witch" wasn't as powerful and ruling so many creatures, she wouldn't have given a rat's tail about the controlling witch—but, honestly, she the cold, bitter winter enraged her. What was so wrong with a little bit of warmer temperatures? Jadis got to sit back and—literally—chill on her big throne and sip warm refreshments and order everyone around. Whatever the "mere soldiers and minions" thought was no concern of hers. She's got Maugrim to do that anyway. But seriously! How could she stand the winter all year long? Don't her oh so loyal subjects get some award? Like a few months of spring or something? Forget about the fools who oppose her; they'll die out anyway. Shaking, mainly with a sudden burst of irritation, she ducked under a branch so abruptly that it seemed like she slammed into it. The thin, tattered shreds of loyalty Lucretia had to Jadis were still wavering dangerously, like the dead, feeble twigs on the treetops. Still, she had to keep up her act and pretend to be fully loyal to her highness; Jadis had a sense for traitors and those "impure" under her command.
stepping over a large, pale trunk of a dead tree and nature's debris, the black she-wolf, standing out against the snow like a star against a dark sky, trotted aimlessly this way and that, exhausted, but harboring a feeling of restlessness. She continued to weave around the stripped trees for awhile, without thought or wonderment. This was Lucretia; she didn't need something to think about to wander for miles. But she didn't need to. Soon, her paw felt a slight shake in the ground, even though she was perched on at least an inch of snow, and her keen ears caught the rumbling noise and voices. " What are those stupid, dumb beasts doing this time? Planning an underground assault on the castle? " she muttered irritably to herself, then snickered, " Oh wouldn't that be a treat! Nothing exciting happens anymore. The idiot fools used to attack the castle again and again on my first weeks. Oh, good, exciting times... " Lucretia continued to ramble on to herself, snickering here and there in pauses, as she, taking her time, ambled toward the source of the voices. Her hopes for a "treat" was demolished when she recognized one particular voice, one she wasn't planning on or wanting to hear. A growl slipped out of her lips. Maugrim. Okay, she had nothing personal about Maugrim. But he was just so... infuriating... annoying... commanding... oh, so many words she could have picked out to describe Maugrim (her mental dictionary was, frankly, lacking). But... he was her leader. Although it was somewhat common-ish for a soldier to despise his/her leader, showing disrespect toward your leaders resulted in demotion and punishment in this army. So she had to refrain showing any of her true, dark feelings. But that didn't change how she felt about him. She hated others—especially her own kind—to have authority over her. She absolutely despised it—hated it with a deep, deep passion.
her two victims (whom she called any unlucky creatures to have her interrupt into their lives and cause total mischief and cruelty (which was she was about to do until one of them turned out to be Maugrim)) appeared to be a fairly tall human-like creature—a giant perhaps, though he didn't seem too large in her book—and, of course, the captain of the Secret Police, in which she was part of, Maugrim. Lucretia, summoning all of her stealth to help her, hid behind a messy bundle of dead tree trunks and limbs a good measure of yards away and watched. Maugrim was, as usual, all hyped up and impatient, was lecturing the unlucky giant (Lucretia just had to feel sorry for the giant; she knew from experience how Maugrim was.) However, the larger creature, glaring down at the wolf retorted back, saying how his family had the job of protecting the "true royalty," whatever that meant, for years, decades, centuries, perhaps. Lucretia was especially impressed when the giant stomped his large foot down into the ground in front of Maugrim's path. Very gutsy. Part of her knew that Maugrim would find a way to deal with that creature, but the other half wanted to see how the giant would react to her leader's response. Lucretia rose and scurried as quietly as she could to a ridge in the ground, where she could get a fair view of both creatures; she could see the giant beast quite easily, but he was blocking her view anyway. Just hopefully, they don't detect her before launching into a fight or argument. Lucretia wasn't wanting sleep, food, or water anymore; a good, bloody brawl would satisfy her twisted sense of humor and enjoyment.

"do you really think i am going to test you boy?" Maugrim stopped pacing as the giant did not let him."How dare you! How dare you stomp your foot at me!" He was not scared of giants, he didnt have one little wince or hesitation as the giant talked. That was what made maugrim so strong, he did not getting frightened at times! He would just go on about his day and fight off his fears or face them. He was bold and stood out from the other wolves! " I am pretty sure i am older then you think, my family was with the queen from the beginning! And maybe i should tell the queen that one of her giants questions her! You would make a great addition to her collection!" He would tell the queen, he always told the truth(which is bad for others!) He would do as he says and make sure what he says is done!
He smiled at the giant, he thougt it smelled and looked bad though! He had never liked the giants or there ways but he was just going to have to deal with him! He looked into the giants eyes! He let his dark black evil eyes peirce the giant as if they were daggers stabbing into the giants eyes! "If you didn't know I am your worst enemy! I am maugrim, and your nightmare! Remember it and fear it! I will make sure to keep an eye on you so you dont betray us! And i think you know what will happen to you if you do! You are already on my naughty list!" He sat down and stared into huss' eyes once more!
