Your Info; Your Name: Aqua (Cortney) Years Role-playing: At least 5 1/2 years Other Characters: Onan
Character Info; Characters Name: Oreius Age: [Unknown] Race: Centaur Male or Female: Male Aslan or Witch's side: Aslan's Side
Personality: Loyalty is the greatest characteristic of a creature, as centaurs would probably say. Oreius is as loyal as they come, defending those he follows with drawn blades. He would risk his life and soul for those he finds worthy of his loyalty and trust. It is no joking matter with him. To the ends of the earth he would go to protect those close to him. On top of his undying loyalty, is a wise soul. Much like his ancestors before him, Oreius is sensible when it comes to life. He goes by what he knows and belives rather then by everything he is told. He excels at being a strategists on and off the battlefield. Advising his followers and those he follows as to the smartest ways to go about something. Honorable and respected, Oreius acts like a true leader. He always tries to remain optimistic in the worst of times and takes it upon himself to watch over any happenings amongst troops/groups. There is no need to ask for assistance from him since he usually does things of his own free will. No one can truly order him around though it might seem that way. Everything he chooses is pure free will. Carrying on the traditions of his ancestors, Oreius finds it disrespectful to laugh at his race. He also considers it very offensive if someone dares to ride or place a saddle upon his equine half. Unless he finds someone worthy of such an honor, he will never be seen with anyone riding upon his back. Description of Physical Being: One thing can be said about Oreius, his appearance can be quite daunting. He stands at approximately 6'4 with his long equine legs that carry him. He is quite muscular in both human and equine attributes.
.:Humanly Features:. Oreuis has broad shoulders making him appear large when at a distance. His arms are rather bulky with obvious signs of some sort of excercise. His chest bears scars from past battles he took part in, forever reminding him of all the bloodshed he helped cause. His face, compared to the average human's, is rather wide. The area before his ears is stretched to accomodate the equine shaped appendages. His nose is not large but when compared to the average man's, it is also wide. Atop his head lays coal black, curly hair that stretches to just below his shoulder blades.
.:Equine Features:. Oreius is human from basically the waist up and equine from the waist down and back. His pelt is a dark, almost black, bay color, complimenting his hair quite nicely. Like any horse, his tail is long and black just like his hair.
History: Oreius was born as a blacksmith and bowyer's son. His father was a well-known blacksmith with a skill at making and repairing swords. His mother was also quite skilled but her talent went into bows and arrows. They were respected by many of their fellow centaurs and they expected Oreius to receive as much respect when he was older. Everyone expected a lot from him putting unneeded pressure on his shoulders. As as a young child, however, he didn't care for respect or anything of the sort. He wanted to grow up strong like his father, like any son naturally would. So he spent his time making up his own little games to 'train' himself. From swordfighting with a pretend foe to saving a kidnapped princess, his imagination ran wild. His games soon became quite the trend in other centaurs his age. They would all group together and raid pretend enemy castles or hold sparring contests with each other. Some found their pretend feets rather enjoyable to watch, standing on the sidelines and playfully cheering them on. A few of the older centaurs however found it rather odd, scolding the children for playing such unnatural games. But none of the children really paid much attention, they had fun playing Oreius's games. They weren't going to let anyone get in the way of their fun. As a youth, Oreius's pretend training sessions paid off quite nicely. He could easily manage a long sword, hitting targets with deadly accuracy. He excelled mostly at fighting with some sort of blade and he come to discover that he was quite good at thinking up strategies. Him and his friends would practice hitting poorly-made targets that they happened to whip up themselves. Most of the time they were busy repairing their practice dummies rather than fighting them though. So eventually one of the adult centaurs built more advanced dummies for the group to practice with, setting them up in a nice clear space in the surrounding forest. Oreius found all of this enjoyable no matter if he managed to injure the fake foe or not. The pressure was truly upon him then. His father ebbed him on, trying to lure him into the blacksmith trade. So Oreius tried blacksmithing for a short while. During that short amount of time, he realized where his talents truly belonged, holding a blade with a strategy in mind. So ignoring his fathers pleas and lectures, Oreius went right back to wielding blades. Once an adult, Oreius was much more mature. He took his practices more seriously than before, knowing they would come in handy whenever another war would break out. His practices did not last for very much longer, however. News spread about a being who claimed to be the true leader of Narnia. This woman brought about an early winter to Narnia, coating everything in a pale blanket, and silencing the once thriving lands. Oreius knew for a fact that this woman was a mere imposter. He was well aware of the true leader of Narnia and knew that the great lion was out there somewhere still watching over Narnia. Although Aslan's wereabouts remained a mystery, Oreius still pledged loyalty to the great lion. Along with some of his fellow centaurs, he made an oath to defeat the imposter and restore Aslan's rightful position. Oreius, voted to be the general for the centaurs, made orders to prepare for the battles to come. The centaurs set to work starting on weapons and armor, making only enough to supply themselves. During this time of preparation, a prophecy soon arose. It said that two sons of Adam and two daughters of Eve would defeat the White Witch and restore peace to Narnia. Placing his hope in this prophecy and Aslan, Oreius set to work gathering his 'troop' and preparing them for any upcoming battles.
