A young girl sat at the windowsill in the bedroom she shared with her two brothers and sister. Rain pelted softly agasint the window. It had just been last night when they had arrived, and though all were slightly nervous about staying in Professor Kirke's house, they were all lookign forewards to exploring outside today. Maybe there would even be badgers and fox's and rabbits and owls!
Until it rained. Lucy sighed as she drummed her tiny fingers along the rain-streaked window. She looked over at her oldest brother Peter, who was sittign in a chair trying to guess at meanings of words her sister Susan was reading from the largest dictionary Lucyhad ever seen. Her blue eyes scanned the room for Edmund, her siblign closest in age to her. A faint scratching niose came from another chair in the room.
Lucy was about to ask if there were any mice in their bedroom when she saw Edmund lying under it, scratching at the bottom with something. Oh rubbish! He'll get us all into trouble with thart Mrs. Macready if she see's him writting on the bottom of furniture! she thought. An idea sprang into her head. What if they played hide-and-seek? Wouldn't that be a fun way to explore the inside the house?
"Peter, Peter!" she exclaimed, jumping down from the small bench benath the windowsill and runnign over to him. "Peter we could play hide-and-seek!"

Susan sat stroking a beloved page from her favourite book. There was very little to do around this dreadful old house, especially when it rained. A shrill voice broke the silence, and Susan recognized it immediately. Lucy's loud voice rang and echoed into the other room where Susan was perched. She was yelling for Peter.
Normally on days like this Susan would read. Or simply assemble her outfit for the next day. Today seemed different though and Susan longed to do something...anything! "What are you two doing over there?" When no reply reached her ears she began to panic. Why weren't they replying? Had they left? Again she called into the silence. Her curiosity compelled her and pushed her into the empty door way that led to the other room.
She was met by a nothing. Her siblings were all in that room doing aimless tasks that she considered insignificant. Nothing appeared to have changed, since Lucy's voice had broken the air. Out of habit she settled herself in the red arm chair and waited to see what was going on...
Lucy had seemed far too excited, and now Susan's curiosity had gotten the best of her.

Peter was lounging on the old couch in the stuffy parlor of the Professor's house. He had been listening to the radio, hoping for some sort of news on the war effort. There hadn't been any sort of press for a long, dreary month now other than the announcements of the places that had been bombed and the rampant public calls to relocate your children and take precautionary measures to protect yourself. Exasperated, he switched it off. He should be entertaining his siblings, anyway, instead of listening to this pointless rubbish.
He cast a glance at his younger brother, who was sitting on the floor and scratching the furniture like some sort of common animal. He sighed wearily but said nothing; everyone was miserable enough already without him causing a row. He looked over at Susan - reading quietly, as usual - and then at Lucy, who was suddenly tugging on his sleeve insistently. Poor Lu. He had promised her that they would have a good time, and so far... they weren't. He gazed at her sympathetically.
Rolling his head towards Susan, who had not as of yet offered any idea of entertainment, he teased her good-naturedly, "But we're already having so much fun."
Lucy was giving him The Face - round blue eyes widened, little pink lips jutted out in a stubborn pout. He couldn't say no to her, even if he hadn't played that silly game in ages. He never had been able to. Somehow, where Lucy was concerned, "big brother" had always equated to "pushover".
His lips curled upwards in a slow smile. He began to count, deliberately, as way of his assent: "One... two... three..."

Susan heard Peter's faint voice floating through some far away place. "But we're having so much fun," she knew full well that his remark was intended for her. She slammed her book shut before racing toward him. That's when she caught the rest of what he was saying. She switched directions quickly, she was not going to loss this game. Dashing down the many hallways was exhilarating and Susan was supplied with a sudden rush that she hadn't experienced in a long time. The sunlight streamed into the narrow hallway, and the many suits of armour lining it's sides gleamed. Despite the sunlight Susan hit her foot on a piece of armour and with a loud clash, the entire thing came tumbling down. Her brilliant run had come to an abrupt halt. She had no idea where Peter was but she knew he couldn't be too far behind, especially now that she had caused such a big mess.
Why did this always happen to her? Where could she possibly go now? Then it hit her... why not climb inside the armour? Surely, Peter couldn't find her under all of it? If her brilliant plan was going to work she'd need to work fast and be able to keep quiet. Normally she never did any heavy lifting, and why would she with Peter usually around? But this was different and it took all her will power to lift the armour around her body and then to jump deeper inside it. Slowly, slowly, almost! The precision need was almost impossible. Yet, she did it.
Susan tried to muffle the small laugh that escaped her lips. It amplified in the armour and a smug smile stayed fixed on her mouth. She dared Peter to find her here... or to find her at all. She wouldn't lose and this gave her a gloating pleasure. She curled into a comfortable position and began to wait.

ooc// Edmund reporting for duty!
bic// Raindrops hit the window, creating a continuous pattern of sound. It was soothing, really, but also dreary. The night before, Edmund's spirits had lifted as he found that this place wasn't horrible after all. Professor Kirke wasn't such a bad man. The only annoyance so far was the dreaded Mrs. Macready. Peter, Susan, Lucy and Edmund had been discussing the beginning of their exploration outside, but when they awoke that morning to find it raining, they knew that their plans were soiled. They would just have to explore the next day.
Edmund was having a particularly hard time finding something to do. In the end, he resulted in carving things into the bottom of one of the many chairs in the room. Peter was assembled on an old couch listening to a radio while Lucy sat at the window, watching the rain perhaps. Susan reading a book or something of that sort. It was pretty much silent. All at once, Lucy's voice filled the room and she was up and about. "Peter, Peter! Peter, we could play hide-and-seek!" The young girl yelled so suddenly that it had startled Edmund, causing him to abruptly sit up, which of course meant hitting his forehead off of the bottom of the chair. Edmund grunted and fell back to the floor, gripping his head.
No one seemed to notice his little episode. Edmund pushed the chair aside in time to hear Peter's remark. "But we're already having so much fun". Edmund stood up, rolling his eyes and feeling his forehead. Hide-and-seek. He hadn't played for awhile. Maybe it would be sort of fun in this mansion. There would be endless hiding spots. Knowing that Peter would give in, Edmund took the opportunity to slip out of the room and find a hiding spot. But where?
He ran through a maze of hallways, hearing the faint counting of Peter. As he weaved through the halls, he knew he was running out of time. Edmund rounded a corner, finding a delightful big curtain covering an entrance-way. He hurriedly slipped behind it, then waited for the game to really begin.

Lucy tugged at Peter's sleeve and her lower lip jutted out in a pout. "Come on Peter pleeeeeeeese!" she whinned. Her lips darted up in a smile as he started counting. She raced out of the room and looked all about the hallways. She flew down one and smiled as she saw some large curtians to hide in. She grabbed them and parted them, ready to step behind them, when who should appear but Edmund. Who of course took her place. She huffed but turned around and ran down another corridor. She knew Peter was getting close to 100 when she could hear him through the walls. I must be just above him... she thought to herself, trying one door and discovering it was lockced.
She quickly tried the other door, and smiled, stepping inside as she found it open. She froze as her eyes looked upward to a great thing covered in a white sheet. The room happened to be empty except for that. Taking tentitive steps foreward she reached up and touched the shoft sheet. Her small hand clasped it and she gave it a yank, gasping as it came tumbling down. What it revealed... a large wooden wardrobe with all sorts of strange art crafted into it. She looked back at the door, then opened the one to the wardrobe. Lucy stepped inside quietly and closed the door, but didn't shut it. One knew better then that.
She started walking backwards with her hands out, feeling for the back of the wardrobe. "They'll never find me in here!" she laughed softly. She kept stepping back and back, but no wood met her hands. Quickly she spun around as something cold touched her finger tips. And what she saw, was unexplainable.
ooc;OK THE PLOT HAS BEGUN. Now you guys can't really post here until she comes back from Narnia and Tumnus and all that because no time passes. So yes. Please wait till Lucy returns. I'm also Aslan, hence giving these orders. xD

ooc; Lucy has now returned from Narnia. This is why I am double posting. About five minutes have passed in England while hours have passed in Narnia. So here goes!
Lucy stumbled out of the wardrobe onto the fllor, dazed for a moment. She pushed herself up to her feet with her hands quickly and flew through the room down the stairs adn to where she had left Edmund after he'd stolen her hiding spot. Mind you the one she'd found was much better. She stopped short, breathless as she spotted Edmund. "Ed Im back! Im back Im back!" she shouted at him gleefully, knowing full well he would have been worried about her. After all she had been gone for hours...
But then a confused fact hit her. While she was in Narnia through the wardrobe...Ed had just been standing here for over five hours? No no the game woud have been ended and they would have been looking for her. Yes, why werethey still palying, and surely Peter wouldn't take this long to find them. And didnt they care enough about her to top and look for her. She'd been gone for hours for heavens sake!
She stared dumbfounded at Edmund and looked around for Peter nd Susan, who would surely be coming around acorner and taking Lucy in her arms telling her how worried she was and asking her if she was alright and where she had been...just likek Susan always did. But...where was everyone and why was Edmund looking at her like she was crazy?

Peter had just finished counting. Giving the room he was in a cursory glance before he set off to search the rest of the house - just in case someone had done something tricky by trying to "hide in plain sight" - he shouted as a warning, "Ready or not, here I come!" Suddenly, there was a bang, then a thump. Not very inconspicuous. He was surprised to hear voices. Yelling - Lucy. Peter sighed. Edmund was probably bullying her again, since she sounded very wound up about something. Ugh. He was going to kill him. His brother ruined everything, even the simplest of games - which, of course, Lucy had asked to play. It figured.
Trotting up the stairs with a look on his face that was a mixture of concern (for Lucy), anger (at Edmund), curiosity (where was Susan?) and triumph (he'd found them both, without even having to look), he rounded the corner to see Edmund poking his dark-haired head out from behind a strange curtain of some sort, while Lucy was glancing about looking disoriented, and gesturing with her hands excitedly. Susan was nowhere to be seen. She had not seemed to get the message that their game appeared to be over. For once, she had not been there to intervene in a quarrel between Lu and Ed. Peter gazed at his two youngest siblings, one eyebrow raised in a look of characteristic disdain.
"You know, I don't think you two have quite got the idea of this game," he said, glancing between Lucy and Edmund. Both of them looked flustered, though Edmund just looked angry and Lucy seemed surprised more than anything. Instead of hiding, it seemed to Peter like they had been seeking - seeking each other, or perhaps seeking answers, to questions that they had, and from their expressions there must have been a lot of them. Perhaps Susan could help sort things out, when she showed up. He was afraid he wasn't very good at that sort of thing. Frowning, he stood before them with a guarded stance in case Lucy started to cry and ran into his arms again. It had been happening a lot lately.

Susan had drifted into a lazy orientation. She had just started to stretch for the second time when she heard Peter's voice. Hopefully, he hadn't heard her. She extended her arm and then another noise hit her. This time it was Lucy's voice and it rung through out the Armour. Susan sighed. How typical, Lucy had to have found some stupid thing and now she had gone and ruined the game. Pushing forward Susan tumbled out, and started a brisk walk toward Lucy's voice. A left turn here, a right turn there. This old house was rather confusing, and one could get lost rather quickly.
Susan rounded the corner to see her three sibling all looking quite confused. Peter did anyway, but Edmund looked flustered. "What's going on?" she murmured. Glancing at Lucy she noticed a spark of excitement and concern in her eye. What had she done this time? Normally the quarrels between Ed and Lu were disastrous. Her motherly instinct took over and Susan found herself leaning more toward Edmund. She couldn't quite explain why, perhaps it was because Peter was already closer to Lucy. She folded her arms and then took a deep breath. Whatever story Lucy was about to tell, to was going to have to be good.
Lucy glanced at her with questioning eyes. This could take all night and Susan found herself already tired. Mother had made her promise to watch out for them and her she was doign her job. Which already had been proven difficult. She sighed and then spoke with authority,"who wants to start?"

As soon as his name escaped her lips, Ed immediately felt annoyance rise to his face. His little sister was whizzing down the hall, her short-ish hair fluttering as she darted breathlessly toward him. At first, Ed thought of pretending to not notice her and stay hidden. But Lucy had known where he was hiding—he had indeed stolen it from her—so, chances were, she'd come running to him. Rolling his eyes and letting out an irritated sigh, the boy stuck his head out of the velvety curtain, his eyes flashing. "Shut up! He's coming!" he snapped at his advancing sister. Not only was his expression that of annoyance, but bewilderment. What in the world was Lucy thinking? She suggested the game, and couldn't decide on whether or not to hide and give Peter and everyone a stupid, baby's game, or come running out like a madwoman and totally ruining the point of this childish game? Was this a joke? Did she seriously go through all of this to annoy him? He stepped out of the dark purple curtains.
And as chance would have it, his older brother, Peter came into view, giving him an angry look. He didn't have time to flash something back before he made a comment of them not getting the idea of the game. Lucy responded with the most absurd question with a rather confused and surprised expression. Um. Isn't that the point? Isn't Peter, the seeker, suppose to find them? What's with Lucy? Normally, she's just clueless and native about things, but this time, it was as if her head was in a jumble. Ed voiced his thoughts with a touch of irritation—actually, scratch that. More irritation. Lucy was clearly playing a joke. "That's the point. That was why he was seeking you!" he retorted. If Peter used his fatherly powers to his snappish tone to Lucy, he wouldn't care. Peter—not to mention Susan as well—was so annoying sometimes. They treated him like a little kid! And, just for the record, not that he was a sore loser. No way. But it was stupid to lose to a childish and baby game such as hide and seek just like this. His anger was flared toward both Peter and Lucy. He was forced into such an idiot game and is played with by his little sister. How absurd! Soon, Susan appeared, unfournately; Ed wasn't in the mood for his older sister to spill her motherly self all over them. And, more than not, who got the glares and parently telling offs? Yes. Him.
ooc yo ! ehh. don't have the time to make it look nice. xP

Lucy looked at Edmund with interest and confusion. He was seeking her? Well of course he was, she would be looking for Peter if he had gone missing for hours at a time too. But where was Susan, and hadn't they made Edmund come with them? But no, her brother was still hiding in the same place she had left him in nearly half a day ago! She looked around bewildered. What was going on. She had had tea and toast with Mr. Tumnus after wandering around in the snowy woods of Narnia just minuets ago, it all seemed to real though. They had just escaped from the witch...why she would have to tell them tat was it
The would be wondering where she was of course, so she would simply explain and they would be happy, happy she was home safe and sound. But something made her think they were all as confused as her, and not as to where she had been for the past while. She turned slowly and looked out a window, spotting a dim light shinning through the rainy cloudy skies. She felt very sick, and her twisted face turned to her oldest brother and sister as they turned the corner and ran towards her. "Peter, Susan...Edmumnd told me you'd been seeking me. I knew you would be I've been gone for hours. I've had tea and listened to music..." she began but trailed off as she noticed them all looking at her strangely.
Whatever was going on, Lucy didn't know. She laughed forcingly at Peter. It died away. "Well of course I have, bt we started it hours ago..." she spoke looking around at her siblings again. "Haven't you all been wondering where Ive been? Ive been gone for hours..."

Frowning at Edmund's words - despite the truth in them - Peter stood back a little ways from his two youngest siblings, hoping, rather futilely, that for once things between them would not erupt into conflict. However, his bewildered look was easily topped by Lucy's response, and his arched brows knitted even more closely together in confusion. Hours? ...Tea? ...Music? What was she talking about? Giving his eldest sister a quick look as she appeared by his side, he hoped that she had some idea of how to resolve the situation. He wondered if it was normal for children in a traumatic situation to resort to their imaginations for comfort. The thought almost hurt him - couldn't Lucy rely on them to take care of her, and not some silly fantasy? He supposed it was good of her to at least share it with them, but still. The whole thing was terribly strange. Lucy kept babbling on and on about nothing particular, and certainly nothing that made sense, and they all grew frustrated. "Just where exactly did you go?" he asked finally, wishing for a clearer explanation. Perhaps he could investigate.
Peter glanced at Lucy seriously when she spoke. What she was saying simply didn't make sense. Nothing really did, anymore. Everything was so awfully complicated. It seemed like the simplest thing - even a game of hide and seek - turned into a war around here. Hadn't their mum sent them away to get away from that sort of thing? And here they all were, still fighting. His shoulders sagged in defeat as he realized what was coming. Ed would overdo it, Lucy would start crying, Susan would try to console her sister and Peter would chastise his brother. They had fallen into a miserable routine. Ever since their dad had left, things had been different between them. Sometimes Peter wondered when they were ever going to be a family again. "One game at a time, Lu," he told her gently. He didn't want to hurt her feelings, but he was getting tired of this, having to placate everyone and keep up with their eccentrities - some of which were more obvious than others'. He almost couldn't help himself, but his words were covered in affectionate concern. "We don't all have your imagination."

Susan was incredibly thankful for Peter's wisedom at the moment. "We don't all have your imagination." Those words had just wafted by her ear, in a faraway distant place. She couldn't wrap her head around what Lucy was saying. How could she honestly believe the very story she had created? Did she need more attention? What ever the reason Susan knew that her story was utter nonsense.
The only things in this world that were real were the things you could see, touch or feel. Things like that were concrete, solid, factual. Thank heaven they weren't in school or else Lucy would be punished for her little stunt. Susan carefully made eye contact with Peter. She was unsure as to how to proceed with Lucy, but then again Peter was in the same boat as her. "Your imagination is rather amazing at times Lu," she softly murmured. She couldn't bare to look her in the face.
"Perhaps you could show us, where you went." She didn't want to encourage the poor girls imagination, but maybe if Lucy took them to her "place" they could understand this whole situation better. She looked into Lucy's eyes. They were completely honest and sincere, as if their wasn't a doubt in Lucy's mind. Susan couldn't bare to see her younger sister so convinced in a simpel fantasy world. It wasn't natural, one thing she knew for sure, that they would have to break the truth to her gently.

It was so typical that Peter and Susan were careful to act gentle and soft around. Seriously! They never really tried to stay calm with him. Ed did this, Ed said this, over and over again. Someday, his two older siblings will see that he wasn't worth their parent-ly scowls and regret their words. Edmund couldn't help but snort under his breath and mumble a retort, "Yeah, Lu. I'm wondering where your head is right now..." It was loud enough for everyone to hear, and it was suppose to be. Peter could do what he liked; Ed was sure not taking this any longer. Unlike Peter and Susan, Ed never tried to pretend to buy his little sister's imagination or even try to be gentle with Lucy's faraway-imagination games. His two older siblings were too soft on Lucy and can't bare to use anything other than gentle words with her. It was frustrating! So as Peter and his older sister softly murmured and rambled on about Lu's imagination—seriously, how many times has this popped up? Too much for me to keep track, Edmund thought scornfully—Ed leaned back against the wall, crossed his arms, and listened with an irritating frown on his face, making sure his elder siblings saw his expression. Peter and Susan liked to ignore him until Lucy left before they would scowl him. There was something biased going on here.
As if Lucy had magical, charming... charms, Susan and Peter both asked her if she could lead them into this magical land. How absurd. Now, of course he knew that his older siblings were only doing this because 1) they didn't want Lucy to get all upset if they ignored her and 2) get her to show it to them, only it's just in her head and she ended up in the dead end of a hallway, looking confused, and they would say, "Oh, see, Lu? There is no strange, magical land. Were you just daydreaming?" and then Lucy would insist on stumbling into one, and they say, "Okay, Lucy. We'll play your little game. Just wait till we finish one next time, okay?" Case closed. Ed smirked. "Yes, Lu. Why don't you show us the magical stairway into another world with blue skies, rainbows, and flying unicorns," he sneered, obviously fuming underneath his mocking face. When Lucy is on in one of her fantasies, Ed found it amusing to make fun of it, but when Peter and Susan interfered, it was no fun.

Lucy stared up at her brothers and sister. The hurt in her deep blue eyes was visible. How could they not beleive her? She had been gone for hours! Surely they hadn't forgotten about her. And Edmund was in the same place he had been when she'd left him...it was all too confusing for th epoor girl. She felt her breathing get faster. "Well I went into the wardrobe of course. There's a whole wood in there. Really there is!" she tried not to whine. She whirled on Susan, tears welling up in her eyes. Surely Susan...the mother figure in her life at present even if Lu didn't know it...would beleive her.
"Su...it was there. It was really there!" she whispered, but it was loud enough for all of them to hear. She turned back to Peter. "But Peter I was only playing one game! It wasn't a game it was all real!" she scarmbled for words. "It wasn't my imagination!" she said quickly. As she faced Edmund she knew the answers and smart remarks she would hear from her brother. "Its right here on my head!" she snapped out at him. "And there were no rainbows and stairways. It was snowing and I met a faun...and his name was Tumnus..." she trailed off whispering. Then she turned. She fled up the stairs, down the stairs, turning left and right. She finally reached the wardrobe room, and flung open the door, staring down at it.
